MRATC Activities and Information, Week – Oct. 4 – 10, 2026
TRAIL WORK:
No group trail work has been scheduled for this week.
HIKES:
Fri., Oct. 9: Join us for an approx. 6 mile end to end hike from Elk Garden on the
Appalachian Trail to the Mt. Rogers Trail down to SR 603 (Fairwood Road). We may see some ponies along the way as well as the beginnings of the changing leaves. We plan to have cars at both ends. Bring lunch, water, poles and rain gear. Hike leader Carol Keene.
Meet up locations are Abingdon Lowe's @ 9AM, or Elk Garden AT parking lot on Rte. 600 @ 9:45.
