TRAIL WORK:

MRATC HIKES:
Fri., Aug. 21:

Hikers: join us on a hike that AT thru hikers are having to detour on to due to Helene and the repairs that are underway. Your hike leader is an AT Trail monitor and it will give you an opportunity to see what trail monitoring is about. We will begin on FSR 90 on the access trail to the Iron Mt. Trail and continue on to Rte. 58, location TBD dependent upon parking accessibility.
We will carpool and have cars on each end. Approx. mileage is 6 miles. Bring lunch, water and hiking poles. There will be a few water crossings. Hike leader is Sharon Trumbley. Please respond to the link if you plan to attend:
Meet up locations are Abingdon Lowes at 9AM, Damascus Caboose at 9:20AM, FSR 90 trailhead at 9:45 AM.
