Hungry Mother State Park Paddle

Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the canoe livery in Hungry Mother State Park, using park entrance near the beach. After passing the gatehouse, the livery is just beyond the Event Center on the right. State Park day use fees apply. Bring personal boats or rent from the park. See https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/equipment-rental-fees for rental rates ($15 on up).  Life jackets and paddles provided. Reservations are not accepted but availability should not be a problem. (Rentals open at 10:00.) The amount of time you spend on the water is entirely up to you! Heidi Dixon-White, the event leader, will plan to be available to spend time on the water, with anyone interested, for ~2 hours. Lunch together in the park when we finish. Dress for the weather and wear shoes/sandals you don’t mind getting wet.  Bring water and snacks/lunch.
