About the event
Hikers will meet at Abingdon Lowes parking lot at 9AM. We will carpool, with extra cars to the Whitetop parking area. We will leave cars there and carpool to Elk Garden. The hike will have three distance options.
Option 1: Hike from Elk Garden to Whitetop parking area. ( approx. 2.5 miles)
Option 2: Continue on to Buzzard Rock and back to Whitetop parking. (approx.4.5 miles)
Option 3: Continue the hike back to Elk Garden. (approx. 7 miles)
Hiking sticks and rain gear is suggested. Please bring lunch/snacks and water.
