About the event
Hike from White Rock area to Panther Lick in the Clinch Mountain WMA for an incredible show of wildflowers including fringed phacelia and blue eyed Mary, along with fine vistas. Meet at Hayter's Gap Public Library at 9:30 AM. With appropriate car-spotting, this is a 5 mile one way hike with some altitude change. We will be trekking over meadows with some deadfall present, so poles are advised. Bring lunch and rain gear if rain is predicted. Leader Jim Warden.
