About the event
Friday hikers will travel north on the Appalachian Trail from Rt. 603 to the Iron Mt. Trail/VA Highlands horse trail east, to the Homestead Rd. back to the horse camp and parking area at Fox Creek. Total hike approximately 5 miles. Bring poles if needed, rain gear, lunch and water. You may want to bring something to sit on in the event the lunch area is wet logs. We may do some amateur mushroom identification if anyone has the talent or interest.

Meet up locations are Abingdon Lowe's at 9AM or Rte. 603 Fox Creek AT parking area (past Grindstone Campground on the right) at 9:45AM.
